Bartlesville, OK- The Topeka Police Department (Kansas) Cadets competed this past weekend in the Bartlesville Xtreme 2010 Law Enforcement Explorer Competition. Bartlesville Xtreme is an overnight advanced skills competition that not only requires the Explorer teams to demonstrate their ability to handle law enforcement scenarios but also requires them to communicate their actions with a dispatcher and to navigate their way around town. The competition was attended by teams from across Oklahoma and Kansas.
A long, tiresome night of competition was rewarded in the early morning hours when during the awards ceremony the Topeka Police Department Cadets were awarded first, second, or third place in 15 of the 20 events they competed in and the Topeka Police Cadets recieved Bartlesville Xtreme's overall champion award.
Congratulations to the Topeka Police Cadets who competed, their teammates back in Topeka, the Cadet advisers, and the Topeka Police Department on their accomplishments at Bartlesville Xtreme 2010.
